Public link: open access to your guidebook

Public links are ideal for boutique hotels, coworking spaces, or any setting where you want guests or visitors to open your guidebook without an invitation.

What is a public link?

A public link is a simple, direct URL to your guidebook without a guest token or access restriction. Anyone with the link can view your guidebook at any time, so it suits places where privacy matters less or broad access is needed.

  • No security token: anyone with the base URL can open your guidebook.

  • Great for marketing and open venues: showcases, event spaces, or information kiosks.

  • Easy to share: websites, digital signs, or printed materials.

Public links are open to anyone with the URL but aren't indexed by search engines, so your guidebook stays out of public search results.

How to turn on public view

  1. Open the property from the Properties list.

  2. Under Guidebook › Access, click Public view.

  3. Tick I understand anyone with the link can open this guidebook, then click Turn on public view.

  4. Copy the public link from the panel and share it.

You can turn public view off anytime with Turn off public view.

What do guests see with a public link?

  • Unrestricted articles: always visible to anyone with the link.

  • Restricted articles: always hidden on the public link. Make sure anything confidential has Restrict access turned on.

Important: public links aren't protected by guest tokens or time limits. Before you turn on public view, check that every article with sensitive or guest-specific information has Restrict access on, such as personal contact information, entry codes, Wi-Fi passwords, and private instructions meant only for confirmed bookings.

Best uses for public links

  • Boutique hotels or open lobbies

  • Vacation rentals that double as event venues

  • Welcome books for coworking or shared spaces

  • Marketing or informational displays

  • Public QR codes for tourists or self-guided tours

Tip: public links never show restricted articles. Even with public view on, you can still send reservation links to individual guests. Everyone gets easy access to most information, and guests with a reservation link also see sensitive details like room access codes and Wi-Fi passwords.
