SmoothStay gives you full control over who can open your guidebook and when. Every guidebook is protected by default with a unique security token, so only people with your shared links can view it.
How security works
General share links and reservation links include a unique security token (for example ?guest=7CUHUG) that works like a key. Only people with the complete link can open your guidebook. Your content doesn't appear in search engines and isn't open to the public unless you turn on public view.
Privacy and security features
Sharing links
General share link: a permanent, token-protected link to the property's guidebook, with no time limits.
Reservation link: a unique link per reservation, with time-based access to restricted articles.
URL path: customize the guidebook address for cleaner links.
Deep links: link straight to a category, subcategory or article.
Privacy and security controls
Guidebook status: publish or turn off a guidebook at any time.
Public view: optionally open the guidebook to anyone with the public link, without a token.
New share link: create a new general share link to cut off the old one and all its deep links.
Restrict access: mark sensitive articles so they show only to the right guests at the right time.
Where to find the settings
Open the property from the Properties list. Under Guidebook › Access you'll find Status, Public view and URL path. Click a row to open it in the side panel.
Guidebook status
Status controls whether the guidebook can be opened at all.
Published: anyone with a valid link can open the guidebook.
Turned off: no one can open it, not even guests with a direct link. Turning it off takes effect right away.
Turn it off while you're still editing, or when you want to hide a guidebook for a while.
